In January 2025, over 230 students across Kenya took a step into the future of technology, thanks to TME Education Kenya’s expanded STEM training programs. Led by Ambassador Kelvin Kangethe Gitau, the initiative introduced students in Nairobi, Kiambu, Embu, and Kajiado to Arduino programming, IoT development, and hands-on product creation, equipping them with practical engineering skills for real-world applications.
At St. Dominic’s TATI in Juja, students developed LED matrix displays, merging electronics and programming into commercial product design. Meanwhile, Zetech University’s IoT Club resumed training, connecting students with opportunities for example TechMasterEvent website.
A key highlight was the program’s strong emphasis on female participation. Over 200 young women engaged in STEM mentorship programs at Thika High School and other partner institutions, fostering inclusivity in tech education. “This program is not just about learning technology, it's about empowering the next generation of innovators,” said Ambassador Gitau.
By bridging the gap between theory and hands-on experience, our Kenyan team continues to shape the future of STEM, reinforcing the country’s role as a leader in tech education.
