In May the whole world was celebrating Arduino Day – the international birthday of this open-source platform. For this occasion, TME Education decided to organize its first event in Malawi in cooperation with the Malawi Polytechnic, which is a part of the University of Malawi. The training was held in the Lab of Electrical and Electronics Department and was conducted by Sanga Kanthema and his assistant Kennedy Linzie. The workshops consisted of classes on basics of Arduino programming, including C and C++ language, libraries etc. After receiving solid fundaments, the participants were introduced to TME Arduino-based Edu Kit and its functionalities. After the theoretical part, everyone could get down to practical tasks prepared by Sanga and developed a working project, for which they used a breadboard and electronic components.
