TME Education Expands STEM Impact Across Africa in July 2025

In July 2025, TME Education extended its reach across multiple African countries, delivering hands-on STEM training to hundreds students and educators through practical workshops, competitions, and digital skills programs.

In Kenya, students at St. Dominic’s and Zetech University participated in structured electronics training using Arduino boards and practical toolkits. A fifteen-member national team also traveled to Senegal for the Pan-African Robotics Competition, proudly securing three awards, including Best Live Performance. These accomplishments reflected Kenya’s growing role in Africa’s STEM landscape.

In Zimbabwe, robotics activities continued at Speciss College High School. Additionally, a significant milestone was achieved at Haig Park Primary School, where 43 teachers completed a robotics and electronics training program aligned with Zimbabwe’s Education 5.0 reform. This ensured early integration of tech skills in the national curriculum.

Zambia marked a high point as students represented the country at the AI for Good Youth Challenge in Geneva. Upon returning, local workshops resumed at the Lusaka Makerspace and Buyantanshi School, where learners explored LCDs, buzzers, sensors, and digital displays through guided lessons.

In Uganda, CSCA Kibuli students split into beginner and advanced cohorts focused on embedded systems. Meanwhile, advanced university interns in Wandegeya tackled AVR programming and drone project development, gaining hands-on engineering experience .

Elsewhere, Liberia ran a month-long Super Coders program for 100 children, Burundi trained 27 university students in Arduino development, and Madagascar hosted university and public workshops. Tanzania’s TOIO trained 30 students in a month-long innovation sprint, and Benin’s summer camp introduced electronics to kids as young as five.

Across all regions, TME Education continues to empower youth with the skills and confidence to innovate, create, and lead.
