TME Education training in Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology, Tanzania

Between the 5th and 11th of March TME Education Ambassador Ndembo Jafari conducted workshops in Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology, Tanzania. The training was dedicated to programming and exploring the functionalities of Arduino-based TME Edu Kit. A group of 27 students worked both with digital sensors. During the week they could program LEDs, monitor soil humidity, water level or use the Bluetooth module. The last two days were dedicated to the final practical projects - designing Android applications for a smart car parking helping to find free slots and one with GSM Modem Communication.

The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) was established in 1957 and was the first formal technical institution in Tanzania. It provides general diplomas as well as bachelors and master studies. It consists of three campuses: the Main Campus, Mwanza and Mbeya.
