Zambian Students Gear Up for Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2025

Excitement is building as Zambia prepares for the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge National Event, scheduled for January 25, 2025. Organized in partnership with TME Education, this prestigious competition will showcase Zambian teams designing, building, and coding robots to tackle disaster response challenges.

Ambassador Obrey Muchena has been leading students at Makerspace Zambia, helping them refine their robotics skills ahead of the competition. Their projects, including an autonomous flood warning system, highlight the power of STEM education in solving real-world problems.

Held as part of the UN-based global Robotics for Good Youth Challenge, this event is a qualifier for the Grand Finale in Geneva, during the AI for Good Global Summit 2025. Winners will receive Gold Passes, an exhibition booth, and a pitching opportunity on the Youth Stage, along with global networking and media exposure.

Zambia is set to make an impact, proving that innovation and problem-solving can drive a brighter future.
